I started building my first startup at a very early age, multiple years in, and after multiple failures with different startups, I am still pushing through the thrill, ups and downs, emotions, and learnings of building a company.
There is a ton of information available online (for instance, at https://www.startupschool.org/) about how to launch a startup, how to find co-founders, how to raise money, and a ton of other soft skills needed to build a successful company, but there is surprisingly little information on the technical aspect of building a business, especially in Nigeria.
For example,
Sales: how does a technical founder sell their product to other businesses or build a sales team?
Product: How does a non-technical CEO/manager structure a high-performance product team without being toxic? What is the process like?
Monitoring: How does a founder set up error logging and monitoring for their application infrastructure?
Legal and Accounting: How do I even pay my taxes to the Nigerian government when I don’t have any revenue and can’t afford a lawyer? What is a vesting period?
These are a few of the many questions founders especially young Nigerian founders struggle with.
I will be partnering with experts, and organisations to create interesting and engaging courses at https://demi.ng an online academy built on Pledre.
I will also make a lot of information available on the blog in audio, video and written format here i.e https://blog.demi.ng.
You can easily reach me on Twitter if there is anything you (or your team) would like to learn to increase your startup chances
